Hunting in unseasonably strange weather
#1
Well, I've been patient all weekend with this storm moving through. I went Friday morning and got rained on a few times, along with some 10-12 mph wind. I know better than to hunt the wind when it get in the tens and temp at 60-70 in the winter. But, after a few days of this, deer can't just lay down for 2 days straight without food and water etc. They too have to move around at some point.
So, the question is.
If you were to hunt in these type of conditions, where and when would you hunt? I try to setup near food sources, but where I'm hunting, food sources are almost an over abundance and is quite literally everywhere. I play the wind and only setup on prevailing winds. I'm thinking of going in the morning (Sunday), but not sure if I should waste my time. I have hunted these winds before have never been successful in seeing deer. They just don't move much.

I started a similar post this morning. Our forecast here in northern IL. Is calling for 20-30mph winds, gusting to 40. I’m going hunting regardless of the weather. I may only have the chance to get out one more time. I willtry my luck stll hunting.
