RE: Number of tags

Here in Minnesota, you can get anywhere from 1 to 5 tags, depending on where in the state you are hunting. In my area, I can get only 1 deer, of either sex, the entire season.[:@]

In Louisiana you get 3 bucks and 3 does. Also hunt in mississippi where you can kill 3 bucks and 3 does and then 3 does if you kill them with a bow

RE: Number of tags

KY tags are universal for all seasons to eliminate confusion. First permit ($30)earns you one either sex tag and one anterless tag. An additional antlerless permit can be bought for $15 that allows two more antlerless does. In zone 1 counties, an unlimited number of bonus doe tags can be bought.

So for KY, 1 buck and 3 does or just 4 does statewide.
In Zone 1 counties (of 4 zones), 1 buck and unlimited does.

RE: Number of tags

Each state has different tag offerings. My favorite state is MO as NON RESIDENT. 2 buck tags 2 turkey tags, all 4 tags for $150, OVER THE COUNTER!!!. Additional doe tags for $7. MO, I love ya. MO is the best state, bar none, for a nonresident bowhunter to go kill a Pope and Young bow in with no drawing. The world record nontypical whitetail was killed within 30 miles of where I hunt.

HC, Missouri puts out some slammer bucks every year, that's for sure! Do you hunt public or private land out there? Also, is there a lot of public land out there?

there is not much public land in this part of mo. and if it is public it is bow only and is not many people hunt it. i hunt 81 acres 30 feet from iowa so i get the best of both worlds.
