How on earth would you score this. Also, think about what this buck would look like after shedding. He'd have a hole in his head.

Yeah, I was watching National Geographic one night. They had a story on there about some guy they called "Tree Man". :D

That is definitely wild looking. My question is, how would you score something like that?

I wouldn't have to worry about scoring him. Hes not legal in the county I hunt in! 13" minimum inside spread or at least one unbranched antler. [:@]

Another question, how hard would the taxidermy be? Do they make a mold for that?

Ben, I think the taxidermy would actually be easier, wouldnt have to go around two small bases, just one big one! Im sure a regular form would work fine too.

I guess I just think about having to cut a huge chunk out of the skull and then fitting it up on the mold. It definately would be different.;)

That's odd...there is a buck that is roaming around on the land I'm hunting on, which now has a haircut due to linen#1, that looks a lot like that one!

Geeze...can you imagine the opening to his skull after shedding.
It's a good thing they shed their antlers when it's cold as I would think a gaping hole, exposed skull and some meat would certainly be a recipe for infection in warm weather.

Question to you scoring junkies..... How would this be measured (ex. Inside spread, main beam length, mass) since everything is formed from one base???

My guess is maybe he didnt actually shed due to injury or whatever. It looks like he was just growing new antlers on top of the old.
