Default Bowdippers/painters Question

I want to turn my Tribute black as I like the looks of these black bows. I have a connection with super cheap powder coating. What is the process to get the bow ready for him? Thanks, Don

Order a camo one form Elite[&:]

From what I have heard you need to break down the bow. Just send the limbs and riser. Cams I do not know

Since it's my thread, I can hijack it. Fill me in on Elite. Never heard of them till this year now they are all over the web. Who owns them, an off shoot of another bowmaker? Gr8 lookin bow. I hear alot about their Z28..speed bow I assume. Yours is fast?? Middle of the road..better draw cycle than the Z28? Answer me damn it?

I have been advised to NOT powdercoat the limbs...to much flex and movement for powder coating to work effectively. Riser is A ok, but I've heard from numerous people that doing the limbs is a waste of $$. Get it film dipped instead, probably similar in cost, and itll be like a factory finish...and it will last.

I guess you could powder coat the riser and dip the limbs, if you are wanting the most durable finish possible.

I tried to go through this whole process with my bowfishing bow back in July, ended up breaking it down and using Krylon spray paint, and it works good actually! To be honest, I can't tell a difference in the limbs I spray painted black and a set that is factory black. Black is black, only getting them dipped is a LOT more than $4 a can.[8D] I went with a john deere green riser and black limbs, very subtle.
