Killed my 20th with a bow 2 weeks ago. Total is 44, 23 with a shotty/ML. 1 with a Pontiac.[8D] 22 years total.

1 doe with a bow. This was my first serious year bowhunting.
With a gun this was my 7th or 8th year. I've killed 7 with a gun. 5 bucks, 2 does.
Total= 8 deer

I am pretty sure it's 38 bowkills in 16 years of hunting. (whitetails that is)

Can't remember the # of gun kills in 34 years of hunting. Has to be in the 60-70 range.

Started mid season of '05....so 3.5 seasons (little over 3 years).

20 bowkills (whitetail deer). 5 more days to hunt this year.....then the urban season.

Lets see, 7 years gun hunting 5 bucks, 2 does
6 years bow hunting 4 bucks, 2 does

so all combined 7 years I have shot 9 bucks and 4 does which equalls 13 deer all together!!

I've slowed down. I only shoot one or two anymore and call it a year. In the early years you could only kill one. It's still that way in a lot of places. In the early years you just didn't shoot a doe. That was forbidden. LOL My how times have changed. I've killed 86 with the bow, mostly bucks. I don't know about gun kills. My new student this year shot 4 with my old Darton. It was his first year of bowhunting, he'll be 65 in January. Not bad for an old fart just beginning. He ran out of tags.

Muzzle loader........ This was the first year for me......1 doe kill

Shotgun ...............23 years................ Have no idea, too many to count.

Bow 3-4 years 1 Pronghorn Buck, 1 whitetail doe, and 1 whitetail buck
Gun another few years before that with another 4 or 5 kills.

Until this year, I have had zero interest in killing does, just never wanted to, with smaller bucks as well. I limited myself from early success, and tasty meat. From now on,I plan on a few does a year if all goes well.

ML 1 yr= 2 deer

total estimated kills= 87-90 deer in 20 yrs

I was thinking about this before the season started. IF I counted correctly before the season, my first buck this year was number 100, so that would mean I would have 106 whitetail kills total in 25 years of hunting. 1 with ML, 14 with shotgun, and the rest were archery kills. There have also been a couple of hogs, 1 bear, and a two rams as well with archery.

kickin buck and davidmil......impressive...very impressive...I pass a lot of deer up every year, probably 10-15 a year, mostly bucks, in fact I passed on 11 bucks this year, and only one doe, I shot every doe that came into bow range that I could. If wasn't a picky I could a lot more than 25 bow kills, but ain't no way I could have as many as you two...that's just sick awesome..86 bow kills....man I bet that has been a ride David...kickin buck...over 90 bow kills?? Geez dude....that is sick!!! awesome guys!

2007-4 pointer(gun)
2008- 9 pointer (bow)

Well coming from such a limited tag state like PA my numbers are not that high. Seeing for more years than I can remember (27 bowseasons) and I've only owned 2 doe tags for PA in the last 9 seasons.

In 27 bow seasons I've probably tagged 20 bucks, 17 with a bow. My early years, recoveries came hard and I wish I had the internet. When it comes to does, probably another 20.

23rd season of hunting 21st with a bow.
I've killed 67 deer(and still have 4 tags left this year) , 40 with a bow, 5 with a pistol, the rest shotgun/rifle.

Bowhunted 32 years....not sure how many killed but I have never killed more than 4 in any one season, its usually 2-3. My family only eats 2 deer a year and anything extra goes to landowners/friends. I pass up a heck of a lot of deer each season. The first few years of bowhunting we were allowed only 1 permit per season.

Firearm: hunted sporadically 3 different years with a shotgun or muzzleloader when much younger. Never killed a deer with a firearm.

I don't know my exact numbers either. Over 24yrs...roughly

Bow - 30+
Gun - 40+

Probably 75% of those have been does, by choice. I pass at least 10 bucks each year during bow season...and way more does. To me its not about bragging rights or impressing anyone. I just enjoy being out there and getting a few each year...which is why I've never really kept track. Sometimes I wish I had, just so I could go back and look at my seasons.I do have alot of pics though.

The only number I know for sure is my son who just turned 11 has taken 4 deer in the past 3 years...and those have been some of the funnest hunts of my life. :)
