Sorry for the link but I can't do photobucket from work.
Anyway, I have been after this deer for 3 yrs now. I actually rattled him in and shot him last year unfortunately in the black hole. I aimed for 30 yd when he was more like 24 yd. I know this because I retrieved my lost one year old blazer vane from his backstrap when field dressing him! Saturday was my 3rd and lastencounter with him this season. He came in before day light so I prayed that he would linger long enough for me to see my pins. My eyes went back and forth from him to my pins awaiting the brightness necessary to see them through my peep. He was still there when the light came and I was able to get a shot off. The shot was on the money and was my first heart shot! He ran a mere 80 yds and I couldn't be happier. Wi th only 3 weeks left in the season, I was getting pretty worried I wouldn't get him. Unfortunately he broke off his right G-3 just 6 days before I shot him. Had he had his G-3, he would have grossed 126 with a 20 1/4 in spread. He'll be my favorite deer for a very long time.
