I need to take better pics of my selfbows. Its hard to get a decent pic of a bow that long.
The pics I posted were my daughters bow.

and Ive got a cool little ipe/bamboo, white oak job just pulled out of the oven getting ready for tillering and a rattle snake skin backing. As well as a few more Ipe, boo bows as well and one osage boo.

I've seen a few with sturgeon on them. It looks cool. My osage hunting bow has copperheads on it. It has the snakey look to back it up too. I've yet to make meat with it though. Maybe late season. I need to fling a few to feel comfortable again. But I'm getting the itch again.

I think we've probably officially hijacked the thread....but.....he did ask for bow pics.
Anyway... I love building them. If I had a good place for a shop and time I would build alot more. Its very satisfying to me to get one to the point of flinging the first arrow, and then finishing it off.

I have to ask, did you reflex the whole limb on that bow. I ask because I noticed the caul to the right. It looks like a form for just reflexing the whole limb.

I have to ask, did you reflex the whole limb on that bow. I ask because I noticed the caul to the right. It looks like a form for just reflexing the whole limb.
Below is a wonderful pic of me working it, had a real nice character knot to deal with.
No time to remove face makeup from the morning hunt.
