I never see anyone on the forums talk about these
Price wise.. I really like these ameristep strap on steps. Put a linesmans belt on, throw these over your shoulders, and just strap them on as you climb. I notice no one talks about these on the forums, but they work gr8 and are very safe, and a lot easier than those screw in steps. Plus these are legal on public land as they don't damage a tree. I have used these many times and I like them alot. Lone wolf are my favorite,,but a lot higher priced. These are so versatile compared to a lot of different steps, and simple to use. Any of you on the go, portable hunters that don't want to spend the $$ on Lone Wolfs, I recommend these..awesome bowhunters tool IMO. I let a buddy use my LW sticks and stand for a few days this year and I used my Millenium and these and I forgot how gr8 and easy these things are. If I couldn't use LW's..these would be how I portable hunt.

RE: I never see anyone on the forums talk about these
Used them for my 2004 season a few times HCH.
And when I say few.. I mean like twice. I got over-tired and sweaty in seconds after putting up 20 of them for one set. That sucked. I still have them in a rubbermaid container in the garage. Use them as a LAST step sometimes.. but other than that. I found them worthless. |
RE: I never see anyone on the forums talk about these
I use them as foot rests while using a Guidos Web when on camera duty. They work like a charm. I have always had a problem with getting them cinched down real tight though, which has made me leary of using them to climb up. Great little steps though none the less. I never bought many due to their costs vs screw ins, but if I did same day setups, these would be a possibility.
On a side note, how do you like your Millenium stand? Im thinkin of gettin one before next season...how is the comfort in these? |

Kinda pricey, id just buy a set of LW sticks first...would be a good backup though if you had some laying around.

So you would say that a LW is MORE comfortable than a Millenium? I realize it isn't as lightweight or "versatile", but even the comfort is less?
Just asking honest opinions, I want a quality lock on for next year..and have always heard Milleniums can't be beat for comfort. Have you ever used the Summit Deer Deck or Deer Deck Lite by chance? |
