RE: Christmas

I saw an old colored gentleman in one of those rascal scooters the other day in Wal-Mart. He had on a bright red USMC jacket and a WWII veteran's hat. I shook his hand, thanked him, asked God to bless he and his and wished him a Merry Christmas.

Doesn't have to be the holidays for that either. But if it wasn't for that man in the red coat... well... you know.

The Lord, veterans, and familyare the people to be most thankful for. Then comes police officers, firemen (or fire persons for you politically correct people), and EMT's. Then comes the plumbers who have the crappiest job in the world (:D).

Be careful about how you feel about a mans importance in life. Coal miner in the summer or ice salesman in the winter,we all have our times and our places.;)

My grandfather taught me to always wave at farmers when you drove past one, first off its free ,and like him they will pull your stuck truck from a snow bank in the middle of the night without thinking twice or charging you once.

Ok, I stand corrected. But I still put the Lord and service people first!:D

The next deer I get I will donate to Hunters for the Hungry here in Virginia. I have two deer on the ground and enough meat to eat for awhile.

I will be doing just like I did last year, $1 for every inch of antler on the bucks I kill and $20 per doe will be donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in honor of my late wife.
