You know, a buddy of mine whois a whitetail bowhuntertried black bear with a shotgunonce and he said the rush between the two just does not compare. The black bear leaves the whitetail in the dust. He said he was shaking so bad on the shot he almost couldn't hold the gun steady. Also that if it had been with a bow, he probably couldn't have pulled his bow. I can only imagine!

Congrats to your dad Steve! That's a great looking bear.I like how he carries on the traditionof your family.
High five to him for using the old school XX75's. I've been shooting them (2314's) since I started bowhunting in the 70's. I just recently learned that they started making them wayback in the mid 50's!
