I didn't back down from what I said. I just worded it better. I didn't know You could edit the first post. I only thought You could edit the last one You posted. I still would like to see gun season changed a bit, and more rules applied to help keep the crazys from getting out, but Yea I
ll admit I was being a bit abrasive. I also didn't say the world revolves around Me. If You knew anything about Me You'd know thats not the truth. Bottom line is I was bummed about gun season coming in, and the fact that the guy killed the big buck I had been hunting. I know I'm still young, and might look at this a diiferent way in 10 years, but the way I am expressing it is about the best I can word it. Sorry for upsetting anyone.

Hunting is a pastime...a recreation, how folks hunt is their business as long as they keep it legal. Not everyone who participates in hunting is hardcore, some like to get out a couple weekends a year, grab their rifle, get together with friends and family and kill deer.....any deer. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that....nothing. I'm sorry your "bummed" about the gun season but it is what it is and as long as the states allow a gun season you will have folks hitting the woods hunting....their way. Not right, not wrong, just different than you or I.

All you can do is hunt the way you want to and kill what you want. You shouldn't be bummed about the gun season starting, you should be happy as it allows you more time in the woods to hunt....your way. You grabbed your gun and went hunting, don't begrudge your neighbor for doing the same. So this year the neighbor killed the big buck you had been seeing, maybe next year you will kill one he'd been seeingwho knows?

mondoman86 you need to rethink WHY you hunt. I wouldn't be bummed really at all - why? because I hunt for the hunt, not for the shooting of horn porn.

go read that ....... both my hunting partners whacked big bucks, I got a little down myself on the whole but not at the guys I was hunting with or anyone else hunting .... you have to enjoy hunting, and the outdoors, and loving the whole experience.

its become way too common place to hunt for horns and the love of horn porns poisons us all - you to the point of hating a guy who killed a very nice buck, it was NOT your buck, any more than it was his. Don't worry about how he killed it, thank God you're healthy enough to hunt, that you have a place to hunt, that tommorrow morning you can walk to your stand and sit in it for a few hours and enjoy God's given sunrise, and all that you might see even if its just a sparrow.

you've lost I think what hunting it [:o]and because of that, you're worse than a guy shooting a deer off his back porch if he indeed did that

This has nothing to do with this thread but I got to ask why are you hunting In Kansas then Stealthy? It's for the size of bucks and you know It. Everyone has a little horn porn In them whether they can admit It or not.
