The dreams that dance through your head all year long will be on pause here shortly as the season ends for most of us in the next month...savor every minute.

Yes Jeff, you should go out.
txjourneyman--are you going to be getting any hunting time?
Droptine--get out in the woods.
I am going to try a real crazy strategy tomorrow morning. Due to the leaves being extremely loud on the walk in and the deer on high alert, I am going to put on my knee high rubber boots and stalk hunt up a 6 inch deep creek bed for a good mile to see if I can get onto some deer. Hopefully that will quiet down my entrance.

Brett:
True story. I'm talking to my GW at the bowshop's swap meet a couple years ago. I ask him what's thequickest his season's been over (before we had unlimited doe ops). He said he used to only buck hunt.....and he killed two 100" 8-pointers 20 minutes apart on opening morning, once. I asked him what he did from then on.....and he said he did nothing! I asked him why he didn't go and doe hunt???
He said he was scared. I asked him of what???
He never answered....just smiled and looked at me.
I'm skeered.

I was going to go out this morning but got my truck stuck in a ditch after hitting a slick....so my morning consisted of jacking my truck up and pulling out two 150+ pounds rocks out from under my truck so I could get it out! FUN I tell ya, it was just wonderful. I bet I can't walk tomorrow morning when I go hunt.
Two bucks within 20 minutes...that is nuts. But hunting can turn on a dime. A tough year to glory all in a matter of seconds...that is why I love it!
