RE: Quietest Bow???

Hard to say, really....

I've owned several in the Bowtech line (Constitution; 82nd Airborne; '07 Allegiance; '08 Allegiance; '08 Guardian). I've also owned an '05 Switchback.

In level of "quiet"....I'd give them this ranking (with no. 1 being the quietest) -

1. '08 Allegiance (now before you get frisky....this is due to me going up in arrow weight. BIG difference).
2. '08 Guardian
3. Mathews Switchback ('05)
4. '07 Allegiance
5. 82nd Airborne

Just hunt and stop worry about all the dumb details!
Those details can mean the difference between getting a deer or going home empty handed.... how long have you been archery hunting??

The Kodiak Magnum I bought for my son is by far the quietest bow I have "never" heard, and its been out of the box since 1965.... ;)
There Isn't any compound out there that's any more quite then a traditional bow. Right on Joe!!

My General was super quiet. THe 82nd or 101st Airborne dont even hold a candle to the center pivot bowtechs. I dont care what anyone says, they are not very quiet. They are tack drivers, but not quiet. I thought the hoyt alphamax was very quiet as well.

Drock, I have to disagree there. Although louder than the CP Bowtechs, the Airbornes can be very quiet. I know when I shot Harrisburg indoor 3D the crowd of people couldn't believe how hard my arrows were pounding the targets but in the same breath they said, it's one of the quietest on the line as well.
Exactly. I think over the years I've proven my reputation of NOT being a "fanboy" though I'm very obviously affiliated with the company. Having said that, I'll agree whole-heartedly with Rob here (not saying anything about Rob, LOL... just not jumping on the "bandwagon" just because... :D)

I sold my '08 82nd Airborne based on the fact of how QUIET it was in addition to its speed. Ask the new owner... if he's picked up his jaw yet after those first few shots. ;)Quiet as the Center Pivots? Nope. But still very quiet -- especially for a speed bow.

:D:D:D

Quietest to loudest styles (I have too many individual bows to mention):

1. Selfbows (even without silencers)
2. Longbows
3. Recurves

68lb Longbow with a 260 grain arrow. Quitest bow I shoot.

RE: Quietest Bow???

My guess is either the Admiral, Sentinel, or Captain. The BowTech CP bows even, the General, Guardian, and Commander take Quiet to a whole new level.
