Whisper Creek? [8D]

Kyle, I disagree, :D the Kodiak Magnum I bought for my son is by far the quietest bow I have "never" heard, and its been out of the box since 1965.... ;)

My General was super quiet. THe 82nd or 101st Airborne dont even hold a candle to the center pivot bowtechs. I dont care what anyone says, they are not very quiet. They are tack drivers, but not quiet. I thought the hoyt alphamax was very quiet as well.

I think before we get to many posts going here that anybody that can uequivically say what bow is the quietest should be able to prove that he has shot every make and model bow produced. Otherwisw the study is not complete and therefore could be biased.

Can anybody say that they've shot every bow made?
If we're trying to sound intelligent let us note that unequivocally is not spelled "uequivically." Furthermore, maddoggk asked for opinions (noun. a belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty). That being said, I believe it incorrect to assume that a "study" is being conducted or that he inquiring about the quietest bow is even looking for a definite answer. ;)
Thanks for the spelling correction. Sometimes my fingers get ahead of my brain and I should use spell check more often. My point was that most "opinion" you get about what is "BEST" are often based on a person shooting just a few bows and it ends up being what they are shooting at the time.

It's like asking "what's the best arrow. What's the best string?" etc, etc. Unless you try them all you cannot make an objective judgement.

My Guardian was about as good as it gets. Then you dress it up with some cat whiskers, a Wild Thing, 473 grain arrows... I'm telling you, my nephew was shocked. He kept saying I can hear the arrow better than the bow. It's so quiet. He has a friend that works for Bowtech and travels all over the place for them. I heard my nephew telling him, I can't believe how quiet his bow is. I can't believe it. The guy said, wait until you see the new ones.[&:] Can't get any quieter in my mind. Out of the box quiet isn't what I judge it by, dress it up like you hunt and see what you got.

They can all be quiet if you set them up right. Even out of the box bows need to be set up.
Truth!!!!!

It is a non-issue with todays bows ........

Hey folks,

Thanks for all of the responses. I am (as you can tell) a new member at huntingnet.combut I have been bowhunting for several years. I realize my question may be a "loaded" one but it wasof keen interest to me. I have successfully shot PSE equipment over the years and I have been able to quiet down my bows tremendoulsy using various techniques. With that said,I am looking at purchasing a new bow and thought that the opinion of a few of my peers just might help steer me toward a few bows to try out at the pro shop. You all have certainly given me some direction. I didn't realize the power of the internet until now!! What a great tool for a hunter to have!!!!

Thanks,

MaddoggK:D

Anyone looking for one of the quietest bows on the market would do well to give the Ross Carnivores a hard look... mine just may even be a tick quieter than my Admiral.

My General is pretty dang quiet. One of the quietest I've heard. PSE X-Farce is quiet.
Who cares, if you miss the first time you probably not going to get a second shot anyways...that is if it's a bruiser.

Just hunt and stop worry about all the dumb details!

Drock, I have to disagree there. Although louder than the CP Bowtechs, the Airbornes can be very quiet. I know when I shot Harrisburg indoor 3D the crowd of people couldn't believe how hard my arrows were pounding the targets but in the same breath they said, it's one of the quietest on the line as well.
