Thanks Giving is gone..Christmas is near ..Where are you?
 

Based on which state we live in and what the hunting dates are....the bottom line is the end of season is near for us "Bow Hunters" except for those that carry in the cold.

Where are you atwithyour huntingseason? Are you done? Are you still on the go? Are you polishing up your muzzleloader?

For Me: My bucks are winding down and beginning to fall off and rest for the next week or so...My bucks will begin to replenish cells and feed "just before sun down" With a few chases in December...

In Michigan -I will start to prepare for muzzleloader season...And every one of my family members keep saying "I want a deer" can you process it? So I may be busy looking for doe(s) ..as if I dont have enough...but its good eatin. Warm up the Buddy Heater...thats where I'm at in Michigan. 25 degrees.

I'm tagged out except for a southern PA doe tag, NC tags and a IL doe tag however I won't be seeing NC or IL soil anytime soon.

I may however and hope to fill the southern PA doe tag come second season which starts the day after Christmas. Twildasin will be my host.

Frustrated Is where I'm at. No I'm not done but I decided to give the woods a rest the last week or so and plan on hitting It even harder come the 2nd rut. I've just got to figure out exactly or close to when It may start up again. Every where Is different that's for sure.

Oh yeah, if you remember, T had Ben, Matt and I in Oct when he, Matt and Ben scored on does. Of course I didn't, that's why I still have that tag.

Late season is tough, deer are so freakin spooked here it's unreal however in T's haunts, there is no gun hunting, his doe should be unpressured at that time and with crops down, he should have them pinpointed well. Let's hope. ;)

Last year I smacked a "granny" at 43 yards in Full Snow Camo in a blowed corn stubble..I refer to a granny as a 3.5 year old doe +[8D]

Either way...I'm lovin it when I can lay flat in snow camo in a plowed snow field...play the wind...and get up close and personal....

My wife laughs at me....because she always has to deal with a deer hangin in our garage on Christmas day...but its how I roll!!...

Magicman called me 5 times today...I think we have a buck down in Wisc.:eek::)

Do I dare call? I love him...but it could be a 4 hour conversation...But I love'em:)

I shot a buck in Minn. and Wis. with my rifle.:DI'm hoping to headnorth one more time to try and fill my bow tag.

I've taken 3 deer this year and I'm wanting more. I have 2 more TN tags, only one can be a buck though. I'd love to take another deer, but this has been my best year to date. I don't want to be greedy, but I LOVE going after these animals. :)

As far as deer are concerned, I'm done.

I heard a TON of coyotes while on the stand the evening before Thanksgiving. I'll be trying to call some of them in this winter when I'm not waterfowling or steelhead fishing.

I have on more tag to fill. If I did fill it....it would make me "technically" tagged out in NC for the second year in a row. We get 4 doe tags, one "choice" and one buck tag. So I can "tag out" with my next deer. I can get doe tags over the counter, though....and I'll probably get two more, today......just in case.;) That way I can save my last (buck)tag for a possible "Mr. Big" scenario.

I'm no where near done. I've taken only one doe with the bow, one doe and one buck with the rifle in KY. I am yet to put a buck on the ground this year with the new Black Ice. I have not gun hunted yet this year in MS, due to my driving will to get one with the bow. It cost me a good 8 or 10 point last Saturday morning, but I would not have been happy with myself if I had of shot him with the rifle. He would have made a nice mount though. I've still got the upcoming muzzleloader season to get some more meat in the fridge, and bow season doesn't shut down til late January. They sure are hard to get within range now though.

Filled my PA buck tag. I have a doe tag for PA, but probably won't use it since I still have a buck tag for Ohio. I'll take my .44 mag for a walk and concentrate my efforts there on public land to get myself set up for next years archery season. I've got to get an Ohio buck with my bow.

I've got a lot of hunting left with things that go bang. I am mostly just looking to fill the freezer with does but in the places I hunt,a real nice buck could always cruise by as well. I know one spot holds them because we seen them, and the other spot has the biggest buck rubs I've ever seen in my life.

I have one more Doe tag, but i'm holding onto that until i can get my son his first buck (rifle)He is 8 years old and his waiting patiently for Dec 01st to show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

our bow season isnt done till the beggining of februray but my string slipped off the cam the other day i have 2 arrows left and i pulled a muscle in my back [:@]i know excuses excuses but it looks like ill be stickin to my ole mossberg for the next couple weeks i hoep to fill atlest 1 of my doe tags i have been anxious becaus ei cant wait to process my own deer:Dbut i really cant complain i got my buck (9pt.) so im still pretty happy with how the season has gone

Here in ohio the rut is coming to a close. The first shotgun season starts monday they we go two weeks with the bow. The weedend before christmas is the second shotgun season. Then the weekend after christmas is the weekend of muzzleloader. Then we get whole month of bowseason intil feb 2nd.

Got a 9 day bow/muzl, season comming soon, im pretty pumped about that. Hoping to put down a doe or 2 with the recurve, NY is were im at!

Our bow season runs until December 31st, but our blackpowder season started today, and runs for 3 weeks. This is my first year using a ML. I will hunt the 3 weeks with the ML, and then I will be done for the year. So for me, my bow season is over.

Still got a month here, to try and fill one of my buck tags. Hopefully, I can fill one soon, but I am getting frustrated at myself mostly.
