Son's first deer
I realize this isn't archery, but I took the boys out to WI for the gun deer opener, like we do every year. Gives the boys a chance to see great grandma and get out into the woods. Only this year is the first chance my 13 year old has had to hunt for the first time since getting thru his hunter education course last summer.
This is a picture of the 7-pointer he was able to bag on opening day. One shot with the 30-30 and this boy dropped right where he stood. I couldn't be any more proud. He put alot of work into getting ready for the hunt, and this buck is a just reward.
Now I think I will start getting him ready for the bow season next year.Can't get them started too early!

Congrats to you and your boy my son is 8 and is been hunting with me for about 2 years and is still yet to take one I cant wait for the feeling that you are feeling right now.
