Day one of Buckmaster and Matt/TN adventures...
Day one ended in No deer for either of us, No sightings this morning, and I took a shot at a doe this evening.... I thought I drilled her. Ended up being a root... but it didnt end there. I found one long brown hair on my arrow, not a single speck of blood. It was then we knew it hadnt been a clean miss. I felt if anything, it could've been low.
So the journey began... and to my disapointment,Matt spotted a tiny drop of blood. We tracked and tracked and tracked, even though we knew we were tracking a live deer... we had to give it our best effort. Blood was few and far between and really thin and watery. And as we left, we were content on a deer out there with a paper cut. We probably found enough blood to check her glucose levels.
We'll see what tomorrow brings.... Anticipation is good, and were tired, but having fun...

Guys, you don't know how little blood we found. I'm 100% confident that deer is alive. No doubt.
Here are some pictures I snapped. I sat in Aarons "best" stand, yet I chose the stand he sat in and he was the one that got the shot. How does that work? We are probably going to set there tomorrow morning and afternoon both.
Here are a few pictures I snapped. The blood picture is the BEST blood we found. It was aparently where she stood for a bit, because everything else were drops every 10-20yds. Pin pricks. As I said though, the deer survived. No doubt, I'm completely confident.
As far as the arrow picture, apparently this particular stand has some history [8D]
But we're having fun, hopefully we'll get something down soon

Sounds like you guys are having a great time! Too bad on that doe, but it does seem like it was just a flesh wound, keep after it and one will fall eventually!

Nothing this morning. We are at a loss for words as far as morning hunts go. We've yet to see a deer.
Still having fun though, just a LITTLE tired.
