That stinks. I didn't think you were allowed to hunt with the bow during gun season. Here in the southern zone it clearly shows bow season ending when gun season starts and then opening up again once it closes. Am I allowed to keep using the bow? Anyone know?

Yeah, that blows! Shake it off and get back out there! Maybe ask your land owner if you can post a few more signs...tough luck,but do get back out there!

I feel your pain...I hate gun season, and as you said no offense to you guys out there doing it right...

I guess its my bowhunter-ness coming out, but my thinking is this, if you are not confident in your shot where you have to empty your gun just to be sure...maybe, just maybe, you shouldn't be taking the shot...

That sux man! There are a lot of guys like that here, but they just drive the timber lines instead of actually getting out and walking. Keep at it!

Most likely you can although I can't speak for the state of NY. Here in Md you can but have to use your gun tags for deer taken and wear orange.That allows me to take 2 more bucks with the bow andat least2 more does. Same thingapplies for the ML season.Basicallyyou have to abide by the gun laws.Check it out. If Ken (NYBH) is out there I can most assuredly insure you it is ok.

You can hunt with the bow to fill you gun tag.
