Like the others said, it takes time, especially with a bow. Yeah, we all know those guys who seem to luck into their first deer very quickly. It took me 2 1/2 seasons to finally take my first deer with a bow. Bittersweet? You bet!
The good news is, once you break the ice, it becomes easier. All the "failed" attempts will soon be realized as learning experiences. Each time afield, you'll learn something new that will eventually culminate into success.
I've been bowhunting for 15 years now and it seems like everytime I go into the woods, I learn something new that I can hopefully apply to my next hunt.
Keep your chin up and keep plugging away...you'll get there.

Reminds me of an old 'Happy Days' show where ralph, richie and potsy were all looking at a playboy type magazine. They turn to the centerfold and Potsy says....
