The first year, I bought him and his wife a gift certificate to their resrerant, but they wouldnt take it, and told me to use it instead. I told them no way. His wife told me that if I didnt take it back, I would never hunt there again. ( I should add, that she works with my wife, and if it wasnt for her, I dont think I would be hunting there) The only thing that they ask, is that I hunt the gun season with her husband.

My Land owner is a farmer and skilled trade in Huron County, MI.

His name is Joe and he's often seen wearing a John Deer CAP.

He owns 550 acres of prime whitetail habitat,beats, beans, corn, wheat...etc.

Every year I buy him guns, range finders, expensive binos, throw him 2 or 3 hundred cash....He doesn't want it but he takes it because I demand it. His family is my second family...my home away from home.

This weekend he came down to my home town in Howell because his son had a football game here...

We met at the field and my wife and I, and his family..sat and drank hot chocolate together and enjoyed ourselves. It was a nice twist to 22 years of happiness that he and his family has given me.

500 bucks a season and a big fat doe. He never asked a thing from me I just think the spot is well worth it.

Outside of Farmer Joe in Ubly...I do things for my locals where I hunt...

Land owner 1 near home) - I'm repairing their fencing this spring and taking care of their ground hog problem.

Land owner 2 near home) - I trap raccoons, etc for her and I black topped her drive way last year...I also snow plow her drive-way, I also move heavy things for her because she is older...She love me..She always invites me in for Chocolate when I come in from hunting. That's what its all about.:)
