I would have to say its more about nutrition then genetics. Has any of the agriculture changed in this area? Maybe the woods your hunting is maturing so there are less sapplings and buds to feed on??

Shultzy, i used to hate when logging happened, then i seen how it changes things your right it sure does

Nope, lots of bean's or corn. Depends on the rotation. The woods Itself was logged very lightly about 15 years ago so we could get some good undergrowth growing. Man, did It work too!!

If these spike's and fork's were late born fawns the previous year being the doe's got bred late then aren't they already behind the 8 ball In growing compared to the other 2.5's the following year? What makes you think they will catch up?
