at 39 years old I feel like what hunting was is gone, degraded to the point we can't even take good field photo's - there is a pinned topic on how to take good field photo's - why do people have to be reminded year after year?
It should be a given that everyone takes good photo's - here are some really easy tips
- spend 2 minutes and drag it out of the back of the truck
- get off the deer's back
- smile
- spend 2 minutes and wipe the blood off a bit and stick the tongue back in
there - 5 minutes of your precious time can make the difference in very nice admirable photo's vs something ARA's would use in a poster campaign
sadly, I don't know how puking embarrassing photo's are until i've opened the thread ........ maybe ya'll can add something in the title like " I was too lazy to take good photo's, terrible photo's inside" or something ?

I'm with Preacher and Peanut. What makes a pic on the ground with the hunter sitting 3 ft behind the deer to make the rack look wider any better than a pic in the back of the truck? I'd rather see the deer in the back of the truck than the hunter holding the rack 3 ft in front trying to make it look like something it isn't. If you don't like it, move on. Thats simple.

A dead deer is a dead deer is a dead deer, no matter how you look at it. Not everyone gives a flip whether their picture is fit for Field & Stream, they just want memories of the deer or to show it off. Me, I prefer neither. That's why you don't see pictures of my deer on this site anymore, because of judgementalpeople that get their panties in a wad because, heaven forbid, a drop of blood is running out his nose.

Wow, breath a little. I like a good picture and I take a good picture. Some guys like the back of the truck, some guys like the field photo. Everyone has their opinion.
As far as this goes, find me a picture that is over fifty years old that doesn't have the deer:
1. Hanging in a tree
2. Over the hood of a truck/car
3. Just the head
I bet it will be hard to find. So the old timers were all wrong huh? Even though more people hunted back then than now?
And you can argue, "It was a diffrent time", but we let it get that way being so damn worried about what anti/non-hunters thought.

What's wrong with today's hunting is horn porn and judgemental people!!! Gone are the days of hunting groups standing with their bucks hanging from a pole ....gone are the days where you shot what you wanted without fear of ridicule from some self-righteous jerk ......gone are the days where noone had a camera in the woods and they had to wait until they got home to take a picture of the deer ON the vehicle or hanging from a tree or garage rafters ......
it's people judging people because they don't do things the way that they themselves would do it
This thread is assinine!! Matt's thread was classy ... HUUUUUUUUGE difference!!!!
