I voted No, but I had a rib involved and the lower part of the vertebrae. Still scared the crap outa me when I could see that much arrow sticking out of the deer.

RE: Rage pass through poll.

I am 4 for 4 on animals I shot at with Rage 2 blades.......3 stuck in the dirt and one skipped away a bit after pass thru.

I also shoot 30" and 70# or a tad more on all my set ups so my energy level is not idiciative of the "average" bowhunter.
I would shoot a 2.5" Rage for deer if they made one.

People keep looking for this "Magic Bullet" in broadheads and there is no universal magic bullet. There is howeversomewhere a broadhead that is "perfectly" complimentary of the set up you're shooting and the game your after.
That is whatever head gives you PERSONALLY a pass through shot the vast majority of the time while also taking advantage of the energy output of your bow in the form of cutting diameter.

Just as I see it silly for a youth pulling 50# to be using a Rage 2 blade mechanical........I also see it as being equally silly for a guy pulling 30" with a 70# modern speed bow shooting upwards of 80-90ft lbs of KE and coupling it with asmall diameter fixed blade head. One has no energy to spare.........the other is wasting it in gobs.

4 for 4 with the Rage this year. One hung up by the fletchings and feel out after about 30-40 yds. All the rest were pass thru's in the dirt.

Im 2 for 2 with them but with that said im goin back to a fix head next year. Im always so damn paranoid about losing a deer with them. I may use them for turkey but not for deer.

Its litterally 50/50 almost. When i voted, i didnt look at the results or anything, just clicked yes, and then saw the results. Very interesting to say the least. I had one that didnt pass thru out of 3 so i put yes. I made a direct shoulder shot, and i expect and head would have done the same thing. She went down super fast though.

I want to vote yes but can not seem to figure out how too. I have used the rage 2-blade broadhead for the last 3 years and have always had pass through shots until this season. I shot a very large mature doe at 30 yards and did not get a pass through. The deer was quartering away more than I would have liked and I put the arrow through the last rib and into the far front leg. Itwas a good shot but I got on her trail way to early and pushed her twice before Ibacked out and found her a few hours later. The entry hole was huge but her insides quickly filled the whole so tracking was difficult at times.

I love the rage 2-blade broadhead. I will not use another broadhead out there.

Im 1 for 2 on this deal. But the buck i shot he was quartering to me and the arrow lodged in his back knee.

RE: Rage pass through poll.

I have only shot two deer with Rage since I just started using them this year. First one passed through and was holding by the fletching on the exit side. Fell out after less than 50 yds. Second one was during very cold weather and my heavy coat sleeve caught the bowstring and got very little penetration on a shoulder shot on a doe. Never recovered the doe or arrow. Shooting 62# and 31" draw.
