I didn' t think about how much more fun this will get since april fools is over. [>:][>:][>:]

For those of you who don' t know what Don was talking about... I passed a shot at an elk from 10 yards last fall because of some pine needles. I feel I do the right thing and he rubs my nose in it. Tactless... but I would of done the same to him! [&:]:D

IL Bowman, I have been teasing him pretty heavy. But, to be perfectly honest it takes a real bowhunter to do what ABM did. He didnt just pass a shot on a bull, but a 320-330 class bull. He drew on him a couple times, scared him off once when his arrow fell off his rest and clinked on his riser. The shots he had where not certain ones so he held and did not release. Fearing a deflection, or a bad hit on a fast moving animal where racing through his mind.

To have a bull like this bugling at 10-12 yards at us was as good as putting him on the wall. We did everything that morning except punch his tag.

Im sure some of you have seen me here teasing him and probably have heard the story a bunch of times. But, this is one story ABM, and myself will never forget, and probably will never have a chance to expeirence again. Only wish Robert had been with at the time too.

Bottom line is we had one heck of a great time and I now have the right to tease him forever. Or at least until the shoes are on my feet and i will have to somehow have my mind fail and forget the past.....................

Don' t worry Don, I would have done the same thing. But I can still help you bug him about it![>:] Cuz that is just what a buddy does.;)

Gee, I can always count on you guys. [>:]

Don is right though, that' s something I' ll always remember! Out of all my hunts last year, that one sticks out the most in my mind, followed closely by that black bears head coming under that driftwood at less than 10 yards, and the other black bear running up the game trail in our direction, only to stop 15 feet away, freak out and run up a huge spruce tree. The bull moose was a site to see too, being that close to him and watching him get run off by a cow while he was trying to mount her calf was funny. Being in the middle of that herd of 500 caribou was pretty sweet too, I lost my chance at the big guy, but managed to take that non-typical. Stalking up on that big bou on the ice with a 4' antler spread and putting him down was fun, as well as getting my dad on his monster bou and my brother and godfather on their first caribou as well. I got a decent stalk in on an interior grizzly in the spring, but couldn' t get closer than 80 yards.

Hmmm, I guess you guys can bug me about not taking that shot, but I can rub this in your noses all year long. :D

Did I forget to mention that I' m going caribou hunting on Sunday? [8D][8D][8D]
