My first bow buck
#1
Still on cloud nine!! had to post !!

My Husbands descripton of the night !
The night begins around 330pm. We were walking out to the field next to the hedgerow. Both of us looked out across the field to see if anything was moving.. She spotted a couple of does and a buck chasin' behind.
We backed out and ran as quietly as possible to the two closest stands. Mine was about 75 yards into the back of the property; hers was up on the field. She had quite a task working her way up. A button buck cut her off and then she had to sneak by a brood of turkeys.
She made it up the tree, I hit her on the two-way to make sure everything was good. The night begins.
She watched the does hop in and out of the woods of over an hour. Couple little ones ran at her feet. the buck showed up again.. Does with buck in tow at 100 yards, 80 yards, 50 yards and then NOTHING.. he disappeared. The does stopped coming out...
Then out of the blue two little ones walked up the hill in front of her. Not even 5 minutes of them popping out a spike walked over to chase. That must have gotten the attention of the 8 pt. He came barrelin' in like lightning to fend off the spike. Grunting like you wouldn't believe. I heard if all from my stand!! She said he cornered a big doe in the center of a briar bush. Was very ticked off he couldn't reach her. Mrs Java's heart was pounding out of her chest! It took about 10 - 15 minutes for the doe to move on and coax him out of the holly trees and briars. right down her shooting lane!! 15 yards with a 2 blade RAGE broadhead. Cut him wide open. Ran 15 yards and flipped over backwards and kicked for 20 seconds. Got up and walked another 30 yards and died.
This was TRULY a night to remember!! I am so very proud of my girl. She has worked very hard for this!!
