Heavy B Coming In And....

Friggin neighbors dog comes bounding up and chases the buck away. Didn't have a shot at either. I'm fed up!!! I called him and left a message "Your dog just cost me a buck, take care of it." He called back and said "They were tied up when I left and you getting stupid about it doesn't help." He went on to say that he's doing everything he can. I've had enough and I think some dogs are going to come up missing. I don't want to have the pet pay for the owners ignorance, but I'm not left with a lot of options here.

The same thing happens to me on a regular basis and ive tried to deal with the owner of the dogs as well. Apparently he doesnt care because he keeps walking through the adjoining woods during my hunts and letting his dogs roam over to where i have permission. Only thing that gives me relief is that i regularly see deer after he comes through so i try and just take my lumps. On the other hand, if one chased a deer away on me, things would be different.

Unfortunately, in the country, the authorities say there is nothing they can do because there isn't a code or ordanance against letting your dogs roam free.

How hard is it to tie a dog up? You always hear the same stupid responses from these guys: "They were tied up but must havegot loose". BS! Unless you're a moron or are using yarn for a lead, the dog didn't just get loose. He left him run free. You've given him fair chance to control his animal, time to take matters in your own hands imho.

Two wrongs don't make a right. This situation is unfortunate, but you taking out the neighbors dog isn't cool either.

That lab destroyed another hunt this morning. Another neighbor offered the lab's owner to hold onto the dogs until after deer season and he declined. All bets are off.
