Well the last day of archery season in PA turned out to be a great one for my buddy! He killed this monster on Saturday, but found it today. I'll give you a rundown of what happened. He shot this buck in the neck as it was the only shot that presented itself to him. Note: It was raining on and off all morning. Well he made a good hit right on this deer's neck. The blood trail was very good and he watched it cross the creek. We'll thats when we all met up with him and went back to get some boots to wade across the creek. At this time it was raining heavily and when we got across the creek there was no blood! About 10 of us searched up and down the mountain for it for about 6 hours. At this time we about gave up hope. But my buddy and another friend went out looking for it this morning and low and behold after another hour and a half of searching they came up this great PA non-typical. The deer was only about a 50 yards where it had crossed the creek but somehow we walked right by it. So we learned that perseverance pays off especially when you know you made a good shot. This will show you what the grim-reaper broadheads will do for ya! Congrats Jeremy!
It was a Non-typical 10 point. 9+ inch drop tines. Drop tine to drop tine was about 22 inches. inside spread was 14. Circumference of the base was 4 inches
