Can you say "happy little hunter girl"? How she did it is unimportant to me as long as it was not drugged. At least she's not knocked up in a crack house somewhere.

Am I the only one that feels SEVERELY UNIMPRESSED with stuff like this? I've gotten to where I turn the channel if it's a hunting show with a kid that age "hunting".

Kinda like sitting on daddy's lap and "driving".

Congrats to whomever put her on these deer. He probably knows his stuff.....or has one helluva good spot (understatement of the day).

EDIT - I just read the entire article. Call me a skeptic...but I'd sure like to know the "rest of the story". I wonder if she chose her stand based on weather? Can you say "box blind"?
This girl goes to all the seminars and answers all the questions, while the rest of the hunters sit there

She'll out hunt 99% MI hunters(including me), remember she's doing this in MI

No you are not.

I am happy for her as I would be for any hunter. I'm going to give my opinion: any good hunter can do this with good location in conjunction with quality habitat management period.

Congrats to her! Sure she is lucky to have the land that she can hunt, but she is out thereall year putting in hard work for a pay off like this. This girl puts in her time. She attendsseminars, helps put in foodplots, helps hang stands, helps buildblinds, etc. How many 12 year old girls are doingthat? Her parents can barely keep up. She picked her blind for both hunts based on her whitetail knowledge. Again, congrats to herfor putting2 big bucks down in MI in one season. Also, congrats to her parents for giving her this opportunity. Her Mom could have easily said no to sitting in the nasty weather we had here Nov 15th.

I hear what you guys are saying since you see a lot of "hunts" on TV where a kid is basically there to pull the trigger. This is NOT the case with this girl.

Not picking on you Cougar with the bolded statement, just want to use it as an example to make a point. There are hunters on this forum that kill big bucks year after year that hunt in prime big buck country. When they post a success story with pics, Idon't see anyone point out that any good hunter could put big bucks on the ground with their location. Instead, everyone pats him on the back for being such a smart and great hunter.

Regardless of where she hunted, she still has to execute the shot... and apparantly is very good at it. I give a big congrats to her. If I could provide a similar situation for my son, I would in a heatbeat and not feel that he was being "set up"!

The only thing that I am severely unimpressed with is Grown men cutting on a 12 year old girls accomplishments.

Jealousy sure is ugly.

Congrats to her!
