Tell yah the truth I have the cold gear top and bottom. I was out yesterday it was 30 degress with 15 mph winds and I was cold! Dont get me wrong I like UA for one reason win you start too sweat it doesnt stay wete its BREATHABLE.
I have the socks too and my feet get cold w/ 1200 gram thinsulate cabella/scentlok boot. The head cover works real goo gator/full head pice. Give it a shot I think when its cold ITS JUST PLAIN COLD!

Under Armor works well, yes. Both as a wicking and insulating base layer.

I think it works good. One time, I got too hot wearing it.

Depends on what you currently layer with.

UA Cold Gear.
Half-Zip fleece.
Wind shear Cabela's jacket.

Thats my system.

Anything under 30+ and I'll add a thermal shirt over the UA.

I love UA cold gear...fits like a second skin, and is warm...much warmer than a cotton shirt. Add in a thin thermal layer or two with a fleece or windproof layer, and you are golden for whatever.

having a vest really cuts down bulk, and beefs up your core temps as well.

Yea, I added a wooltimate vest from cabelas that I've been wearing all season and it really does keep your core temp up. Also wearing coldgear as well for the first time. UA does a good job keeping you very dry and pretty warm but for me it did not eliminate any layers.

I love UA coldgear. It fits nice and snug and can do a great job of keeping you warm with the proper layering.

I was wondering the same thing, I read where someone said that compression stuff was made forwearing whilebeing active, sports, etc... and the looser stuff would be better in a treestand or hunting type activity, because the compression restricts blood flow making you colder unless your moving alot. Makes sense I guess
