Forget phone calls and calming down. That took up valuable time you needed to get your deer. If I knew the deer fell just over the property line of the adjacent land owner, I would have ran to it and pulled it completely out of there asap. Sorry you lost you trophy.
It was about 70 yards over the line and 20 yards from his garage door!

Where's the deer now? Is it possible to find out? Do the police you talked with or the warden know where it might be now?

I would have probably spent a night in the pokey over that one. Can't say for sure as I wasn't in your shoes, but getting caught up in the moment, I just don't know.
