They changed the law here in MA.. You used to HAVE to keep it in sight. Now just a part of it has to be visible.Timeshave changed and now we hide things we shouldn't have to.

To be fair I get about a 50/50 split of middle fingers versus the thumbs up. I can live with that.

It is strange to come out from breakfast and find a circle of people around your truck crying and praying for your deer.

I drive with my tailgate down no matter whatI get. I had it down with my 20lb turkey i had it down with both my does this year. I am proud of my trophys and I want to show them off. I strap them in so they dont fall out of course. I work hard on getting this animals down and they are some of gods greatest creatures. Everybody should show them off so people can see them up close. Thats just my opinion lol

This one took a ride with the tailgate down. Wasn't easy to get in the truck so when we did he stayed right there. Not realy worried about showing him off....ok maybe just a little.

But the trip was from the house to the checking station. only 5-6 miles. I didn't parade him around like I have seen people do. But I'm proud of them.

This one rode on the hitch & hual becuse I didn't have the truck at the time.

Never heard that one.

Growing up we hunted a good ways from home. One of my cousins shot a deer and we rode home in there minivan with the deer on top. We stoped at Mcdonnals to get something to eat. We got lots of looks. So we just said "Just making a delivery!"

It never ceases to amaze me how many people have no problem with hamburger and steak but a deer is so cruel etc...

I don't worry about it where I live and hunt and have never had a problem.

Man I have never shot a deer in my life untill this year. You bet your a$$ that when I shoot a buck I will be letting everyone know I shot one. I'm going to be doing this even with a small doe or button buck/ woodchuck/ racoon/ squirll. When you haven't killed only but one deer, you let EVERYONE know.

Usually I keep the tailgate up. It isn't hard to see the racks of my deer since they usually are taller than the height of my bed! HA HA

I have one of those gambrels that you attach to your Reese hitch, and I drive all over the place with my deer hanging behind me. Especially when it's hot out, it keeps the meat from overheating and going bad.

I try to be as ethical as possible. I don't subject every person I pass on the road to my beliefs and actions just as I expect them to do the same. Forcing people to deal with driving behind a guy with a dead deer in his truckjust seems to define your stereotypical hunter depicted on TV missing 3 teeth, long beard, and uneducated to any extent.

Be classy and respectful...
