Good luck Shultzy, I'll be hunting hard the next 11 days, well 10 cause I'm using tomorrow to travel. I hope the next 11 days are incredible.

I've told you this before.....you dedicated recurve/longbow guys have my utmost respect. If my quest for filling the freezer was dependent upon what I could shoot with a recurve....well it would be a long long winter around my house.

shultzy - you are wrong 11/6 sucks. in 2004 the gun opener was on 11/6 and someone was in 'my' spot on public land (he ended up shooting a buck). then, i went to my in laws and locked my keys and gun in my car. suuuuucked!
there's a real quick and easy fix to your problems on 11/6. go to your local archery shop and pick up a 320+ fps 11/6 buck killing machine!

As for getting a compound, nah!
Not yet anyway. When I can't pull my traditional bows back decent anymore then I'll get one again.
