RE: A few pics from the Bee Hive stand
I don't know about the beetle, but what Moose says works for me. I don't know if the yellow jacket was already dead or the Box Elder killed it. There were actually three of them feasting on the jacket at one time.
I use a Nikon300 camera body. The macro lens used was a Nikon 100mm macro. The bees come out of a crack in the limb and at times I had the lens within 8-12" of the opening. Suprisingly,I never got stung nor did I think I was bothering the bees, at least I hope not. |

Those red ones sure bug the hell out of us during the heat of the summer.

Are you a photographer by trade?
You do great work, thanks. |
RE: A few pics from the Bee Hive stand
I hate box elder bugs. Stupid things swarmed my trail cam last summer over the week.[:'(]Sweet pics of the bees and the deer.

Are you a photographer by trade? You do great work, thanks. Not that I could make a living at it anyway, but even if I thought I could I remember what my old Bow Shop owner once told me after he "burned out" on Archery after operating a shop full time. His comment....."The best way to ruin a good hobby is to turn it into a business." |
