Don't know what to say. But today at 2:45 I shot a buck that many only dream of. The day started good with two small bucks walking by. I was in that tree from 0600 until 1:30. Got down, went to the house and had coffee and a quick chat with the Mrs. Decided to hunt in the tree that I killed a 19" 9pt last year. Up the tree by 2 and thought what am I doing here??
Oh well I am here I might as well set a spell, I rattled the horns and grunted a few times. And did the same again at 2:35. I had just put the horns down and I saw a deer coming. I did not need the binos to see that he was a shooter. I had to talk myself through the shot which was only 12yds. Yep he came right up to the tree. I was up 28 feet.
I released and knew the shot was good. I thought I was going to fall out of my stand when I saw him pile up about 70 yds from where I had shot. I only have a few pic's but will post up more in the am. Enjoy. His live weight is 264
lbs, 24 1/2 outside with a gross score of 176 " .
The only way it could have been better is if Fullfan Jr. would have shot him.....
