Another reason to dislike cats

I has to bust my butt to get in the stand after work tonight but I was able to make it. I was there maybe 1/2 hour when I see a smaller racked buck with the right side abnormal. I noticed his left rear leg was pretty much just hanging there. There was no doubt he was injured. I decided I was going to use my buck tag on this guy cause I just dont like to see deer suffer like that. He had maybe 20 more steps until he was in my shooting lane when a house cat ran up to the deer and spooked him off. I watched him hobble clear across a field. [:@]

That surprises me, If I could, I would take my neighbors cat hunting with me. I swear that cat is a deer magnet. I have seen that cat on several occasion have deer walk right up to him. I have one pic of a buck from this summer checking out the cat under a bush in my neighbors back yard. One time several years ago, early in the morning, the cat was in the road and a doe was trying to push the cat with her nose to get him off the road. I went out to get the paper and saw this. I wish I had a videocamera for that one. It was priceless.

I have two house cats but there's nothing worse on wildlife than a feral cat. I've killed several in the past and I haveno remorse what so ever. Cats which are loosein a neighborhood are one thing but a cat living in the woods is totally different.

Cats should be kept on their owners property just like dogs, horses, cows, pigs.

There was one on the property I hunt that would stalk deer and try to take them down like a mountain Lion. This thing was vicious and was huge! Finally got him this year opening day of deer season. This old tabby finallywent down after a good year of trying to get him!!
