Solocam: I have to commend you because the first thing that crossed my mind was "What!!! They cut the antlers off of THAT deer? Why in the **** would someone do that to a caliber of buck that is?" I would take out a bank loan if I had to in order to get a full neck mount on that buck! And you're right, so quick to get a clean European look to those antlers in the pictures. I think I smell something as well!!

Well, you Do have to remove the antlers in order to do any type of head mount except a European...but I am questioning on how fast his taxidermist did it, like I said, it is painstaking to remove the hide away from the head, ears, eyes, and antlers, but his guy whipped it right out...not only that, but look at the skull plate, it's bleach white, no meat, cartiledge (sp) or any residue that is "normally" on a fresh skull plate.LikeI said, if he can produce field photos or that video that he claims to have, I'll post a full sorry and kiss butt thread saying so, butI doubt any of it shows.

Wow you guys are harsh! Growing up in a taxidermy shop it takes about 20 min. to cape one out. Another hour of scrapping and rubbing with chemicals to get that skull plate to look the way it does. I'm not saying yea or nay, but just judging from the taxidermy work it is not out of the question to get one that clean in a matter of hours.

I agree. too many on here thinks everybody works a job where they sit on a computer all day long and sitting here posting pictures for posters to see is thier life. Not everybody lives on a computer. Also, I can cape one in no time. It was clear to me, that the officer was at work when his buddies found it. You really can't use a cape that has been out in warm weather for more than a day or so. So I am not sure where these bozo's are coming from trying to knock the guy because he isn't bending to thier will to prove anything.

The only thing I was concerned about (that hasn't been mentioned), is doesn't there have to be a tag on it for a taxi to work on it? Atleast in IL that's the case as far as I know...
