Indeed, it is very loud!

When I was a teenager, I was reading a Maxim magazine in my treestand one afternoon. Those mag's have those damn cologne fold over flaps things so you can smell the product. Out of nowhere a big doe...who was standing directly behind my tree (I never heard the deer walk up on me)...snorted. I nearly fell out of my stand it was so loud.


To this very day, other than my hunting gear...I only take a small book or an old bible with me to read. No more cologne smelling magazines!

So, he was warning the other deer in the area that something bad was where I was, but he didn't know what it was. Right?
