Finally done!
This mornin was nothin less than spectacular. Managed to put two BBD within 5 hours. I was in the stand at 5 am waiting for thedeerto come home and rest. Started with a few wicks of tinks 69 out and as the sun came up, I did some rattling, a few grunts, and an occasional bleat. At about 9:30 I figured nothing was goin to happen, besides being sick of at least a dozen squirrels the size of cats making all of the sounds of approaching deer. I was in my climber, drank my last Dr Pepper, lit up a smoke and was about to call it a day when from nowhere a nice nine (one broken G4) easily 200 # on the hoof showed up at about 20 feet.
Dropped him, gutted him and by the time I showered and got out of my bloody clothes and met my brother in law fora muzzleloader hunt (he just purchased hisfirst this morning) we were back in the trees. 2:45 hedropped a nice 6 point and were home before dark.
What a day. Sorry about the pics, but my brother in law was taking them and he isnt much with a camera. He would have been a beauty of a ten point, but obviously was a dominant 5 plus year buck.

Congrats on the beautiful buck. Nice mass.(The pond/stream in the background could have helped with the bloody hands.)
