Heu, you tell me which one is your deer?? The rack is a little blurry but look at that snout!!!!!!!! Like I said on the phone my buddy has better pics and hopefully the video is still on his camera! Pretty crazy ...... we met on here, found out we hunt the same area and my buddy has video and I have pics of the deer you killed! The pics I posted were taken 8/12/08.

Joe, I believe through our phone conversation and the pic you posted above that it might very well be the same deer. This deer is unmistakeable because of that extra long snout and the one browtine that's way longer than the other. I hope your buddy comes thru and has some close up pix. It would just make it all that much better knowing that my online buddy's been watching the same deer then I go and shoot it with a real life buddy. (not that you're not real. When we met in the woods I'm pretty sure you were real right? LOL)

And thanks for the kind words guys. This hunt just took overthe top of the list. The only thing that would've made it better is if baby brother shot it.

I can't say for sure without a close up pic but once I confirm the snout and extra long browtine, we have a definite match!

Heck of a buck and great story. I love to see public land whitetails. If I didn't get this property to hunt in S. Illinois I'd be up in WI hunting Devils Lake State park. Do you mind me asking what general area of the state you were in?
