You don't have to worry about your deer getting eaten by the coyote's - because they are already full from eating all the other deer HNI members quit looking for prematurely[&:]
Seriously, as a hunter its your ethical responsibility to exhaust all efforts to find a deer you shot, if you confirm a hit.

I dont know if it will make the top ten, but I think:
You can learn from every deer you recover. Whether it be about shot placement, the area they like to go after being hit, or other possibilities.

ummm.....you took the time to shoot the damn thing show some respect and get your arse after your deer! If you don't like tracking don't hunt! It's not all about killing!
