Awesome buck! Sounds like it would've been one helluva fun hunt regardless - but that is icing on the cake!

Thanks to all for the kind words.I dropped him off at the Taxi last night. I've got a bare wall with his name on it. It's kind of a special buck to me because I got him in an area real close to where I lived when I was growing up. I always imagined bowhunting there when I was kidand to be able to go back and hunt the area after all these years was really fufilling. Now it's time to whack-n-stack the does for the rest of the season and then try to decide whether to get a gun tag or pass on slug season and use my gun tag to bowhunt for another buck duringlate muzzleloader.I have some time off scheduled over the next few weeks and I'll get to sit in a stand hunting does and watch all theother big rutting bucks pass by! I'll have to bring the camera along to catch the ones on filmI couldn't shoot. That's the only downfall to fillingthe bucktag so early in the pre-rut! Not that I'm complaining though!!
