Sounds like a solid plan to me. You can't possibly prepare for every situation, and obviously you have thought of enough possibilities to hunt this spot. If the deer are bedded in an odd spot, or some from an unexpected direction, then yeah, you're caught, but there is nothing you can do about that. Sounds like the spot is ripe for the picking!

Jeff, i think you will be fine. There is always a chance that a deer will come in down wind of you, but even when that happens, they dont always bust you. Give it a shot and let us know how you make out, good luck.

I think you have a great plan there Jeff. I have had some of my best hunts hunting in front of a front. The wind looks good foryou and as you stated, any scent left over will soon be washed away. If I were you, I would be there. Good luck!!!

I'm watching the weather intently....and waiting for a subcontractor to come finish my new cabinets. As soon as I ge thim started....I'm going out there.

Forecast has changed a little. Starting out I should have an E wind at 11mph.....switching to ESE as the day goes on. It couldn't be better.

I'll enter on the light blue line....and set up on the N side of the gulch, now. That should also keep me a "little" further away from that patch to the S.
