after a recent new bow purchase i was told i should be shooting carbons is this true i used the easton arrow shaft selector and if im reading it correctly it still tells me that 2512 alloys are the lightest and fastest is this right??
i purchased a doz 350 redhead maxima hunter shafts are these better then alloys will my pins be closer together???

RE: carbon vs alloy

Assuming thatyou have a 100 grain head and including that weight for the shaft, Maxima 350's will be about 395 grains, while 2512's will be about 475 grains (includes inserts, nocks and feltchings @29"). The variable you're not consideringare the inserts. The huge tip insert for the 2512 is 55 grains alone.

They will likely be faster and twice as durable.
