When do you think the rut start? Is at its Peak? Ends?

IMO - Pre-rut (more movement, slight chasing, slight fighting, scent checking ETC) Will start this week in most areas...

Peak Rut - Second week of Nov.

Either way, from now until thanksgiving I will spend every available moment in the trees

I'm thinking 11/6/08 at 2:28PM (EST)......but my watch is alittle fast.

I had a buck chase 2 does by my stand last night. He was grunting the whole time. I never could catch a glimpse of his rack but I'm guessing he wasn't a big boy. Who knows though? Most of the young bucks are harrassing the does now but the big boys aren't wasting energy.

This cooler weather down here may have kicked things up a notch.

Down here it doesn't start until the end of Janruary and ends in March.

The pre rut Is going on here In Minnesota as we speak and It will likely peak around the 1st and 2nd week of November. It will usually end the last time the doe's and doe fawns come Into estrus which could be In late January or possibly early February.

Ours will start out here on Nov. 2 at 6:14 a.m.

It will end on Nov. 18 at 11:37 p.m.

Exact same here except ours will end at 11:38
