Congrats to you mj469. NE has some good deer. I hunted there last year and saw some great bucks over near Bellvue. Ended up shooting a little dink 7 point but it was my 1st whitetail. Man I had a great time.
Now that you got your 1st deer you're going to spend the rest of your life trying to get one better than that. The sickness never goes away. I know..............I've been an elkoholic for over 25 years now.

My first bowkill.
Took him October 1st of this year.

2006 Shotgun Kill.

Me:

[hr]
I didn't kill these next two, but I love to share these, and they came off of one of the properties I hunt.
This one is one my aunt killed a few years back. We still had check stations at the time, and the guy at the check station aged this deer at 2.5-- he had a tiny body and his faced looked like he was definitely a young deer! Just a freak of nature! 14 point split brows- don't remember the score, it was either 176" or 167"!

Then two years later, we found this guy dead out in the field on opening morning of shotgun season. Looked like he had been dead for probably 2 weeks already. Triple brow tine on his right side. Some definite similarities between this one and the one above!

And here is my most memorable deer so far. This was the first time I took my boy in the woods with me.
