I would rather leave the rest of the deer in the woods and take just those 2 "little" pieces of meat, but thats just me, best part of the deer! :)

Out of curiosity, how come you didnt bother with cleaning a small shoulder hit deer to eat? Does this mean you didnt bother getting any meat from it?
TEmbry:

You have a vivid imagination, young man. Go back and show me where it says I didn't process the meat from this deer. Thanks.

Well, ummm....I read it, no imagination needed.

Jack.....I've purposely NOT prepared a shoulder hit small deer for human consumtion. No regrets.
This, written as is, says you didnt prepare the deer for human consumption....no matter if you hit it in the lungs, testicles, foot, or shoulder, it would read the same.

I've purposely NOT prepared a double lunged small deer for human comsumption.
I've purposely NOT prepared a head shot small deer for human consumption.
I've purposely NOT prepared a gut shot small deer for human consumption.
Catch my drift, so to speak?

And mine was an honest question, wasn't a dig on you. Didn't know if there were circumstances I didnt know about, such as not finding it for 2-3 days. I knew you wouldnt purposelywaste an entire deer just because it was shoulder hit, hopefully...which is the reasonI askedwhy. Way to be defensive though.[&:]

Oh yea, Your welcome.:)

I donated probably 6-7 deer, last season alone, to a family of FIFTEEN.
Wow! A family of fifteen! Is this a family of 15 as in aDad, Mom and 13 children????

My dog isn't human, Tembry. She ate those shoulders (from the very small doe and the shoulder hit)up like they were .....well....they were delicasies. I'm pretty sure I said that in the post, though;)

You guys are REALLY reaching if you think you're going to deamonize me for not taking inner TL's on a few deer. Gonna have to try harder than that.;)

I don't care WHAT you do with the deer you kill. I really don't. None of my bsiness. Baffles me why you care what I do with them. Entertaining, really.....lol.

Yes. They got my two does and Matt/PA's doe a couple weeks ago (less Matt's backstraps). GREAT people.....just a bunch of 'em.;)

Sometimes I take 'em.....sometimes I don't.

To me it comes down to this....

Do I want to go through the trouble of gutting a deer for two pieces of meat about the size of a banana, each?

Playing devils advocate here...does the ecosystem suffer if one does not remove the inner loins?

Where do YOU draw the line, Sandi? Heart? Liver? Tongue?

Out of 17 bowkills....I've NOT taken the inners on about 6-7 or so (off the top of my head.....2 were borderline gutshot.....2 were next day recoveries.....and 2 were doe fawns). Hell it could be 8. I think this is hilarious.....:D
