WTG, its a feeling you will never forget thats for sure. And the great thing is, its the same feeling every time. If there ever comes a time where you don't have that feeling, hunting is no longer fun. Congrats again. Now to avoid a sack punch we need pic's

congrats to you and way to stay at it. It took me 11 years to get my first one, but I have harvested at least one a year each year I have hunted since then.

Even though it took you 25 years to take a deer, I'd be inclined to call you more of a hunter than some of the people we see on the TV shows who shoot giant deer that most of us will never see!! Their persistence involves sitting for a few hours on a heavily managed fenced in property or with high priced guides....all being paid for by sponsorships. Yours on the other hand involved a willingness to keep trying year after year...because you LOVE it.....not because you are trying to sell a friggen product!!

My first deer was also "just a small doe" that I took with my bow. But I still think back to that hunt almost more than any other. That deer will always be my number one trophy. Probably even if I manage to drop a monster buck someday.

Disclaimer: I realize not all the celebs fit my description above but I think my point was made.
