Real men shave their armpits!
Well it's about that time for me.Opener a few days a way,I will betaking the razor to the arm pit's as part of my scent control program.Who else here has the stones to fess up to it?
You can always tell folks that you are preparing for a body building competetion.What goodare our lives if we cannot bring humor to others! |

I've never heardof that...is it proven to work? I might have to try it if so bc it looks like I've got someone in a head lock half the time.

I feel that hair is the biggest culprit of Scent, there for I shave it all off, head, arms, legs, armpits, eyebrows, etc. Ill tell you what, it is some horrible razor burn! :D

I shower using scent away soap and use scent away deodorant. Combine that with my scentlok and I have not been winded in many many years..... |

since I didn't get any part in "Gorilla's in the mist", I could shave my armpits but then I would do my back as well and if my back is done I could shave my chest as well and my arms and legs and my butt.....and then hunting season would be over and I could start a carreer as a body builder or Lance Armstrong....

That's not happening with me. I go the opposite and let my hair and whiskers grow until seasons end, and then some. I like the added warmth and wind protection. Seeing as how I don't use any scent control products or devices, just the wind, I feel I've had decent success.

Yes I have, as a matter of fact I cleaned-em up about a week ago. Come to think of it....it's about time for another go round.
Armpit hair houses an extraordinary amount of body oder. My wife laughs at me, the funny thing is I'll shave them for the deer but as far as being worried about stinking anyone out in the off-season, all bets are off. |

I do the same every hunting season. The pit hair in my opinion is nothing more than a major scent wick. I will do anything necessary to make my hunting situations better. I am with ya bro.

What good is it to shave your armpits? To be honest I think it would make your scent control have adverse effects rather than your desired result. When you have stench from your armpits it is because their is bacteria growing under your arms. (bacteria grows best in dark moist places and can grow very quickly, So within a 6 hour period some can get B.O.) Your armpit hair, (as long as it is clean to begin with) helps dry your armpits and keeps the bacteria from forming as quickly, so by shaving it, wouldnt you be inhibiting bacteria growth and therefor increasing odor from your armpits...? I'm just going out on a limb and thinking you should just buy some odorless deodorent and keep your pit hair. Youre pry doing more bad than good.

My younger brother is a non-hunter and has been shaving his pits for a looong time! He says it totally cuts down on odor so apparently he's a believer. He's even talked his wife into being a believer (Nuff said!)
Personally, I'm not shaving the pits. I shower well and often and use scent free soap and shampoo and utilize my Scent-Lok gear too. Sorry, but no way!! |

I shave em year round, number one because i train alotas well asfor hunting. Its simple and it cuts down on odor alot.

My head is buzzed and any other kind of hair that falls into the pube category is trimmed very short (legs and arms not included).

I think you pit shavers have some underlying psycological reason to undertake such an action.
 Do you shave everywhere on your body?? Scary!!! A Pal-O-Mine accomplishes the same thing by slathering his whole body with Nair. In any event a real man would opt for a waxing..  . |

I don't shave my armpits, I just use scent free deodorant. However, my butt is extremely hairy and it is hard to get the deodorant back there, so I always have my wife shave my butt for me a couple of times during the season.;)

By far this is one of the strangest posts I've ever seen. But yeah, I can only seeing it help out with scent control if you are one of those who sweat propusely from the under arm area. :D
