If she was in fact barren, she was useless to the herd. That was the first doe I've taken out of my honey hole in over 8 years.

Cool Rob. I am so glad you said how excited you were even though it was "only" a doe. I LOVE shooting does cause generally you know you are going to have more action than waiting on a mature buck.

So if they have no milk in their sacs at 10/13.....they didn't drop a fawn?
Interesting. I didn't know that. Only one of mine had milk in her sac.....but that was over two weeks ago. So I can assume the other two didn't drop this year?
If so....I feel better, now. Last night I was in the same area I shot the doe saturday (the one that came in with two yearling does and two fawns). Last night the two fawns came by at 4:45 and sniffed all around where I recovered the doe (for 5-10 minutes). I just assumed they were hers.
