Another side note on gas...my buddy has been running his diesel on vegetable oil for a couple of years...well on opening morning he is having trouble with his truck due to a clogged fuel line. He opens the hood at 0530 and vegetable/diesel fuel squirts all over him. Hunt over. LOL. He was so pissed.

Still paying $3.19 here, but it's going down fast. That's good because I'm headed to Illinois in 2 weeks!

Why is gas so cheap in Iowa? Here in Louisiana (where we have a lot of offshore drilling) the gas is $ 3.30??

Maybe because of all the ethanol plants here? I dunno, but I like the lower prices and I'll love it if it goes lower yet!

Could also have something to do with how much each state taxes fuel.

Was $3.19 last monday, $2.70 today here. Some stations are over $3 less than 25 miles away.[&:]

2.66 here in Indiana, was 2.55 last Friday at some stations. The state sales tax does play a big factor in gas prices. the state is always looking for different places to grab money from businesses and consumers. Gas being the necessity for everyone, they play with it constantly to keep money in their pocket. Also remember, the VALUE of the American dollar has gotten stronger in the past couple of weeks, which drives down the price of oil per barrel.

ethanol plants in the west, that keeps their prices down also like said some states tax more on fuel. Good ol PA taxes and does not have ethanol plants. Hello 3.19 gas prices.

Gas got down to 2.68 in ohio. The biggest reason this is happening is because of the stock market. Dont be surprised with the rebound of the stock market today to see gas start rising again.

when i bought my new truck it was 3.79 just down fromt he 4.99 crap. so i filled up 34 gallons i have used about 4 or 5 for hunting. If i had wait i would have saved around 25 bucks. I figure in a week or two it will be around 2.500 here it is 2.98 right now and should drop some more due to the lag from oil dropping.

I would LOVE to know how Bush (smacked ass!) thinks there's no price gouging going on? I left Delaware yesterday, and when I just got over the Pa line I saw gas for $2.99/gallon. I get home, about 20 miles away, and gas is $3.39/gallon. Is this not gouging? What a friggen joke!!![:'(][:'(][:'(][>:][>:]

They'll tell you it costs more to transport to your area. That is the joke. 2.56 here and 90 miles north where there is an ethonal plant 2.70. Make logic out of that.

Looks like I got you all beat! 3.89 this morning at the Gas station by my house. Good news though, Ima futures trader and I staring at it trading right now, its down another $3 to $78 barrel. Give me $60 a barrel and hunting season will be so much nicer, especially when you have to drive 70 miles to pheasant hunt and 350 to deer hunt!!:D

When I came to work this morning I passed by a gas station that was at $3.19 a gallon. When I left for lunch it was $3.09 a gallon. An hour later coming back from lunch it was at $2.99!!

They usually only go UP that fast!
